FAMUS Music Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 6, 2026
We do not sell your personal information.
Reebootradio LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the FAMUS Music mobile
application and the famusmusic.com website (together, the "Service"). This
Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your
information when you use the Service. By using FAMUS Music, you agree to the
collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, username and display
name, profile picture. You can sign in with Apple or Google; we receive the
name and email those providers share with us (Sign in with Apple lets you
hide your email).
- Content you create: playlists (including playlists you
choose to share), saved tracks and library, follows, and profile details.
- Purchase information: subscription purchases are
processed by Apple (App Store), Google Play, or Stripe (web). We never see or
store your full card number; we receive confirmation of the purchase and
retain transaction records for accounting and entitlement purposes.
Information Collected Automatically
- Listening data: tracks played, play duration, skips, and
similar playback events.
- Device information: device type and model, operating
system version, app version, unique app identifiers, IP address.
- Usage information: features used, screens viewed, app
performance and crash data.
- Location: general location inferred from IP address
only. We do not collect precise GPS location.
We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not
use your data for third-party advertising.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide the Service: create and manage your account,
stream music, sync your library, process subscriptions and entitlements.
- Pay artists: your listening data is used to allocate
artist royalties under our listener-share model. Artists receive
aggregated, anonymized statistics only — they never see your identity,
email, or individual listening history.
- Improve the Service: analyze usage patterns, fix bugs,
optimize performance, develop new features.
- Communicate with you: service updates, support
responses, and notifications you enable.
- Ensure safety: enforce our Terms of Service, prevent
fraud and abuse, moderate reported content.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share
information only in these circumstances:
Service Providers
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database, file
storage, analytics, crash reporting
- Apple / Google Play: subscription billing on iOS and
Android respectively
- Stripe: payment processing for web purchases
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and
may only use it to provide services to us.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental
request, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the
public.
Business Transfers
If Reebootradio LLC or the FAMUS Music business is involved in a merger,
acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of
that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your
personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed
to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and
enforce agreements. Listening records used for royalty accounting are retained
in anonymized or aggregated form as required for artist payout audits.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access and update: you can view and edit your profile
information in the app.
- Delete your account: you can permanently delete your
account and associated personal data from within the app (Settings >
Account > Delete Account). Subscription billing must be cancelled
separately in your platform's subscription settings.
- Notifications: you can disable push notifications in
your device settings.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as
access, portability, correction, and erasure) under laws like the GDPR or
CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including
encryption in transit, authenticated API access, and access controls on our
backend systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we
cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
FAMUS Music is not directed to children under 17, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided
us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use FAMUS Music from
outside the US, your information is transferred to and processed in the United
States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated
policy on this page with a new "Last Updated" date and, for material changes,
provide notice in the app.
